You might ask yourself what does this have to do with Sugar Babe. Well, I`ve told you I would feature products I like and use, and this is one of the most curious one.
I had no idea such thing existed until I read Robin Lim`s book After The Baby`s Birth (Celestial Arts, 2001) few months ago. I must say my favourite contraceptive method was condom, it wouldn`t interfere with my hormones and inner body functions. I`ve never trusted the pills women had to swallow so to be safe from conception, and I know how questionable this attitude is, since so many women are using them and these medicines are keeping their life under control. Our birth in the news

The tam-tam has spread around and our birth story "Moj porod na Baliju" written in Croatian has hit one of the most important daily newspaper in Croatia (see Vecernji.hr). I hope this story can help women to see the birth like an amazing experience and not just a painful one, I hope it can suggest them to trust their bodies and their nature. I gave my daughter a ``lotus birth``

I gave birth to my daughter Koko the 18th of November 2009 in Bali with the assistance of my man Bluebird and Ibu Robin Lim, my "guerrilla midwife". I had natural birth in water and Koko had her "lotus birth" - we didn`t cut her umbilical cord, but we left it dry together with her placenta until it dropped out spontaneously. After long research I made a decision not to give birth into the hospital. I was lucky to find Ibu Robin and her Yayasan Bumi Sehat clinic in Ubud. She made all the difference, she made me feel safe and trustful towards my body. ... (more)
