Skoko`s music career starts in 1996 with the Italian noise-punk-rock band CUT. They published three records together until 2001. She collaborated with other bands and was a guest vocal for Timoria`s album "El Topo Grand Hotel" (Universal). Her song "Watching Ya" was published in 2008 by Suoni di Jato in "Love Hotel" compilation.
During her stay in Bali, she meets Rob "Bluebird" Ruggeri and forms a new band "Bluebird & Skoko" that brings her back on stage. They are rocking cheeky blues in jazzy sauce flavoured with a dash of punk attitude. After recording in Bali, with musicians from Indonesia, California, Japan, Italy and Croatia, after mixing in Italy in a studio favoured by Ennio Morricone, after mastering in London`s Abbey Road Studios with Steve Rooke, after months of package design and redesign their first album "Trust Your Mojo, Sista" has been published by OmOm Music in January 2009 and is getting unexpected attention. It sounds like a record from the good ol` days. It`s recorded and mastered analog, so to achieve the powerful, warm, round and deep feeling. It has the vibe of a vinyl even on a CD.

Reviews:
"From the head-bobbing “Sugarbabe, Sugarbabe” to the hip-shaking title track, a more thoroughly enjoyable combination of country, blues, rock, and jazz you’re not likely to find anywhere else than on Bluebird & Skoko’s Trust Your Mojo, Sista. In addition to Rob “Bluebird” Ruggeri’s Southern-by-way-of-the-U.K. drawl, Elena Skoko adds a distinctly feminine and even sultry feel to such songs as “Everyday Life” and “I’m An Angel.”" (www.omomworld.com) - Dean Ramos, Illinois Entertainer, October 2009
"Got you album yesterday. Left me speechless. A real painting made of music and words. It made me think of Picasso - if he were a musician." - Paul, Midnight Special Blues Radio, www.ms-blues.com
"A truly outstanding album with a dynamic and provocative sound that combines blues and rock `n roll. Inspired by Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters and The Cramps, this album is an expression of fire and soul. The distinguished musicianship, strong vocals and honest lyrics take the audience on a journey they will not soon forget.” - Erin Bukofsky of Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion
"Beautifully packaged!! " "Very impressed. Much better by far than anything else in the racks over here right now. We opened it in amazement and surprise.." - Waxfoot, Waxfoot Surf Show
["This record is burning, warming you up as a glass of good old rum and making you dizzy like a waitress who just served it to you in that old bar in New Orleans... Americans would say this record is "hot". Very hot."] - Daniel C. Marcoccia, Rocksound, March 2009
["Italian project but so well done that it seams like one of those American productions that always sound better that the others... "Trust Your Mojo, Sista" is a great piece of art meant to make you company for long long time."] - Luca Diletta, Rock Star, March 2009
