I gave birth to my daughter Koko the 18th of  November 2009 in Bali with the assistance of my man Bluebird and Ibu Robin Lim, my "guerrilla midwife". I had natural birth in water and Koko had her "lotus birth" - we didn`t cut her umbilical cord, but we left it dry together with her placenta until it dropped out spontaneously. After long research I made a decision not to give birth into the hospital. I was lucky to find Ibu Robin and her Yayasan Bumi Sehat clinic in Ubud. She made all the difference, she made me feel safe and trustful towards my body. It was an amazing and beautiful experience that I felt like sharing with my fiends and all the women who are interested in natural birth by writing my memories. In this text I share also the informations I found while doing my research, and believe me, there are lots of details you`d like to know before giving birth anywhere. I felt like birth was taken away from women and I wanted mine to be my pride and joy. This is the story how I made it.
